Herbie Hancock is more than the world’s greatest living jazz musician, he’s a platinum-album making, billboard-chart-topping, Oscar and Grammy award winning force of nature. Hancock spoke with KMHD via his studio in California to discuss the new quintet on his worldwide tour, why he will never become the jazz police and his meaning of jazz without boundaries.

There are new musical landscapes among us. Where jazz and hip-hop form a fusion not yet defined. Drummer, producer and artist Kassa Overall came to the KMHD studios and spoke about what that future may look like. Kassa Overall will be performing in Portland at Mississippi Studios on Aug. 26.
