There are many things that make Portland a special place, and one of them is our unique record collecting culture. Portland Record Stores are some of the most diverse and interesting on the planet. Each shop has its own personality, specialty and typically serves as neighborhood hubs, surrounded by cafes, shops and music venues. Each month at KMHD, we’ll take a deep dive into a different shop – with a profile, special videos, an interactive map, curated vinyl for on-air play and events and DJ sets. It is our hope that you’ll get out there and explore these special gems as you build your own music collection. – Matt Fleeger, Program Director
